Position: Security Consultant
Location: San Francisco, California, United States

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
CIO Solutions - Business Continuity Management (BCM)
As a client’s business increasingly depends on technology to support operations, there is a greater need to ensure the reliability of critical systems and business processes. The Client offers a range of services intended to assist clients in managing those availability risks. Such services include performing a BCM assessment, risk/threat analysis, business impact analysis, recovery solution assistance, hot-site evaluations, BCM plan development and documentation and backup and recovery reviews.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and pursue project opportunities at existing and new clients
• Oversee the delivery of client projects and manage project teams
• Continue the development of the BCM team through recruitment and training
• Establish relationships within the business community
• Prepare and present reports and findings to client executive and senior management
ABILITY TO TRAVEL
• Focused on Bay Area clients; travel required based on client requests/commitments
JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting) required.
• 8+ years in a related field, preferably in professional services and/or industry—at least two years working with IT Security tools
• Professional Certification such as CBCP/ABCP/MBCP strongly preferred
• “Big 4” experience in Business Continuity is a plus
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Prior experience with “Big 4” or similar consulting firm
• Business continuity management governance knowledge
• Facilitation and interviewing skills
• Process documentation knowledge
• Deep, multi-industry Risk Assessment and Business Impact Analysis experience
• Multi-industry business continuity strategy development experience
• Crisis management and business continuity plan documentation experience
• Plan test (exercise) experience (facilitation, simulation, and review)
• Training and awareness program development knowledge
• BCM audit experience
• Plan maintenance process knowledge
• Design and development of alternate workplaces, emergency operations centers and hot-sites
• Crisis communications and media handling process development experience
• BCM software solution knowledge (pros/cons) and customization of internal templates and screens
PREFERRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Experience with any of the following BCM technologies
o Platform recovery (mainframe, AS/400, RS6000, Windows/Novell server), to include internal redundancies and clustering/mirroring technologies
o Application recovery (ERP and web application)
o Database recovery (SQL, DB2, Oracle)
o Data network recovery and high availability strategy options
o Voice communications recovery options
o Data backup and recovery strategy options
o Storage solution knowledge (with a focus on EMC knowledge development)
o Data center design (to implement hot-site solutions)
Salary:$100K to $135K
