Hi All. I just wanted to send out a quick note that I'll be speaking
at CanSecWest next month (April 9-11) in Vancouver BC. I have been at
every (3) previous CSW conference, and always enjoy it. Vancouver is
a gorgeous city, and this con is rather unique in its no-nonsense
highly technical nature. Thinly veiled marketing presentations need
not apply! I will be discussing Advanced Network Reconnaissance
Techniques, with an emphasis on recently added or misunderstood
capabilities of (surprise!) Nmap. Here are some other speakers:
Dan Kaminsky - Strange cool things about TCP/IP
Fx of Phenoelit - Attacking networked embedded systems
Halvar Flake - Automated bug detection
Jed Haile - IDS data correlation
Jeff Nathan & Brian Caswell - Developments in IDS technology
Jobe - Shellcode2k3: Advancements in design and autogeneration
Jose Nazario - Internet trust evaluation using distribtion stats
Nicolas Fischbach - Router Forensics, DDos/Worm technology
Neel Mehta & Sean Clowes - Advances in ELF binary runtime encryption
Lance Spitzner - Evolutions in honeypot technology
Ron Gula & Renaud Deraison - Distributed Vulnerability Scanning
The Gruqq - Defeating Forensic Analysis
When I spoke with Dragos (con organizer) on the phone yesterday, he
let slip that Theo de Raadt will also present, as well as a couple
late entrants TBA. He also promised to keep the February registration
price up until the end of this week.
